The quick guide to conservatory installations for busy people

Bespoke gable ended conservatory

Thanks to recent advances with Insulated Glass Units and heating technologies, conservatories have evolved into the quintessential British household extension.

Generally thought of as out of reach for many people, conservatories are now an affordable option. The real advantage of choosing Chase Window Company is the wide range of conservatories we have to offer. The days where choice was limited to the standard, white uPVC frames are (thankfully) long-gone!

Looking to simply add extra space to your home or looking for a great selling point? Well we have put together a quick guide to help you turn your dream conservatory into a reality.

  1. Quote

The first stage of your journey is to get a detailed and competitive quote.

Valid for 30 days, our proposals are free and come with no obligation. Gain instant access to our online price guide, or if you’d prefer to get up close and personal with our products then please visit the showroom.

  1. Plan

Depending on the type of conservatory you’re looking for, some extensions do not require planning permission at all. Reliant on the overall size and location, it is a wise move to seek advice early on and stay within the law.

The Chase Windows Team will be more than happy to advise. We can also provide support throughout all stages of the planning process – from surveys and obtaining drawings, to getting approval.

  1. Design

Ask yourself: Who and what is the conservatory intended for?…

Offering a full design and guaranteed build service, Chase Window Company can advise on the likes of roof types, climate control, electrics, flooring, window ledges, lighting options, sealed unit types and much, much more.

Protecting you against a minefield of mistakes that Hertfordshire homeowners tend to make when purchasing their first conservatory, e.g. Selecting an unsympathetic style, discounting temperature control, and not considering maintenance.

  1. Build

Subject to the level of specification and build size, our conservatories typically take between 4 – 8 weeks to complete.

As they do not rot or flake, many homeowners tend to choose uPVC window frames. However, they can lack charm and this is where we would investigate the use of materials such as aluminium, steel, wood or a hybrid.

Monitoring construction and selecting your insurance company carefully are also important factors. In the majority of cases your conservatory will be covered by your building insurance, however it’s always worth checking to be 100% sure.

  1. Guarantee

An insurance backed guarantee comes as standard with all Chase Window Company workmanship, plus all building works carried out are fully guaranteed for 10 years. Furthermore, our guarantees extend to doors and windows manufactured, supplied and installed by us.

With an extensive range of solutions, Chase Window Company will take care of the whole process to deliver your perfect conservatory – providing peace of mind and unparalleled quality of both workmanship and materials from start to finish.
