Timber Sash Windows

There will always be a place for timber sash windows, especially with homeowners who prefer the use of natural materials over uPVC or aluminium. Many period properties, particularly those with grade I and grade II listed status, are required to replace existing timber sash windows like for like. Fortunately, modern manufacturing techniques have allowed for replacement sash window reproductions to be far superior in both quality and functionality to their Georgian, Victorian or Edwardian counterparts.

Chase Window Company manufactures all types of timber sash windows including sliding sash box sash, and fixed mock sash. From within our modern machinery equipped workshops our industry trained joiners are able to recreate timber sash windows to virtually any specification. The finished products will far exceed all expectations in terms of design, security and longevity.

Modern reproductions, manufactured by Chase Window Company fit perfectly and perform better than ever, and that includes opening and closing operations together with locking and unlocking. Sticking and rattling are problems of the past as the modern replicas are now quiet, slide effortlessly, are weatherproof, and totally draught-proof. Options for our sash windows include traditional weights and cords or concealed spring balances.

Modern glazing

Glass for windows has improved enormously over recent years with the introduction of energy efficiency glass, which has been able to dramatically reduce home heating costs. Other options include toughened laminated glass for added security and safety and acoustic glass for sound insulation. Most modern glass also offers far better UV protection. We can advise about the best glazing options for your windows.

Our timber sash windows are factory finished with preservative, primer, and two coats of proprietary micro-porous paint.
