Heating costs and energy saving issues have been at the forefront of the replacement window and doors industry from the very design stage. Everyone is conscious about the rising costs of heating, and if these costs can be kept to an absolute minimum then everyone benefits. Chase Window Company is committed to reducing the impact on the environment by insisting our products are eco-friendly, wherever possible.
Window energy ratings
It’s our duty to ensure all the products we manufacture and supply, conform to the standards set by the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) in relation to Window Energy Ratings. By offering a large range of energy efficient products, we help you to reduce your carbon footprint, and save money too.
Thermal insulation properties
Our range of uPVC entrance doors
are manufactured from quality uPVC, which is used to create multi-chambered door frames that have excellent thermal insulation properties. Typically, they will have a U-value of 1.6, which will emit about 70W per hour of heat during the colder months. This compares very favourably to other door manufacturing materials. All uPVC entrance doors supplied by Chase Window Company meet or exceed the stipulated energy efficiency requirements laid out in current UK building regulations.
Energy efficient glass
With the addition of seals and draught excluding strips, your new uPVC door is about as energy efficient as it’s possible to get. If fitted with glass panels, then all glass will be energy saving and conform to BFRC’s standards with an ‘A’ rating. Double and triple glazing will reduce heat loss considerably, making your new uPVC door a realistic investment.
